Analytics cookies are blocked until you accept. Google Consent Mode v2 declares every storage signal as denied before the analytics tag is even loaded, so a visitor who ignores or rejects the banner is never measured with cookies.

Three things, all strictly functional and all in your browser rather than on a server: your puzzle progress and streak, your theme and ligature preference, and your answer to the cookie banner itself. A language cookie remembers which translation to serve. None of these identify you, and none are shared.

The “Cookies” link in the footer reopens the banner on any page, and your new answer takes effect immediately. Clearing site data in your browser resets everything, including your puzzle history.
